A version control system, i.e. software used to control changes to the source code. It is an essential teamwork tool that allows developers to easily combine changes made to files by many people at different times. Changes in the code are saved and described in the form of commit, which is sent by the developer to a given repository, such as Github or Gitlab. In the repository you can easily view the history of changes in a given file and manage these changes. Individual modules of the application are often unlink from the main branch of the project, and then reattached after completing them and the necessary tests. Such a procedure has a positive effect on the organization of code changes.
