MySQL
Relational database, available for all major platforms. MySQL is related to MariaDB. Based on SQL (Structured Query Language), it is a query language that contains expressions for communicating with databases. Its syntax is somewhat like a spoken language, whereby it consists of commands such as: SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE, JOIN. It is most often used to create a LAMP server environment consisting of an Apache server and a PHP parser implemented on the Linux platform.
